Summit TRC is seeking to add a Model-Based Systems Engineer to our team. This individual will be responsible for interacting with key stakeholders, developing System Models from the ground up, and delegating tasks to modeling teams and individuals. This individual will contribute significantly to Summit TRC's MBSE team by sharing MBSE knowledge and best practices across multiple MBSE efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Work On site in Huntsville, AL to support the MBSE needs of Summit TRC customers
  • Identify and manage model objectives by interacting directly with customers/sponsors
  • Elicit and communicate System, System of Systems (SoS), and Family of Systems (FoS) architectures by collaborating with technical and programmatic stakeholders
  • Execute all phases of the System Lifecycle in a model-based context by applying fundamental Systems Engineering principles
  • Architect, design, and depict systems using languages and profiles such as the Unified Modeling Language (UML), the Systems Modeling Language (SysML), the Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM), and the Unified Architecture Framework Modeling Language (UAFML)
  • Develop and maintain models in tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw, Sparx EA, Rhapsody, and Capella
  • Apply methodologies and frameworks such as MagicGrid, Object-Oriented System Engineering Method (OOSEM), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), and Arcadia
  • Develo templates in the Velocity Template Language (VTL) to generate derivative artifacts from models (e.g., documents)
  • Employ Teamwork Cloud features, including branching and merging, to perform Configuration Management (CM) tasks

Requirements

  • 3+ years of demonstrable, relevant experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • A Bachelors degree or higher in a related discipline, such as Systems Engineering
  • Candidate must be a US-only Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
  • Extensive Cameo/MagicDraw experience
  • Extensive SysML experience
  • Advanced Systems Engineering experience
  • Experience developing Velocity Template Language (VTL) scripts
  • Experience using Teamwork Cloud, including branching and merging features
  • Able to work on site in Huntsville, AL

Nice to Have

  • OCSMP Certification(s)
  • Experience with UAF and DoDAF
  • Experience with methodologies such as OOSEM or MagicGrid
  • Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
