Bartender at Leaf Bar

Leaf Bar & Lounge in Downtown Flushing, Queens is looking for one experienced, knowledgeable and professional cocktail bartender to join our team. We are located at 133-42 39th Avenue on the roof of the Hyatt Place Hotel.

This is a nightlife job for professionals who are accustomed to working late. The shift starts at 4:30pm and ends at 1:45am on Sunday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, the shift will begin at 4:30pm and end at 3am. Scheduling will be discussed at the interview.

• Knowledge of and experience making specialty cocktails
• Ability to work quickly and make cocktails accurately even when it is very busy

• An excellent work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Knowledge of various brands of bourbon, scotch and tequila and an ability to sell them

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Talk about menu
• Assess customer needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Ability to make drinks and also pay attention to customers
• Prepare the bar for service
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Clean the bar after service
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Adhere to TIPS alcohol training standards
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Stay guest focused and provide an excellent guest experience

Qualifications

• TIPS certification
• Food Handler's Permit is a big plus
• A minimum of 3 years of experience

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $25.00 - $40.00/hour.
