THE OPPORTUNITY:

The full-time year-round Beverage Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall success of the beverage department. This position will directly manage hourly Beverage associates as well as collectively lead all FOH Food & Beverage hourly associates along with the greater Food & Beverage management team. The Beverage Manager will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Events Manager to plan and execute beverage programming for all special and Member events. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Schedule all beverage staff to ensure all F&B operations are staffed.
  • Ensure payroll reports are submitted to appropriate departments correctly and on time.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure their beverage needs are met.
  • Engage with Events Department to coordinate overall F&B participation in special and member events.
  • Develop and manage beverage training programs to ensure all FOH hourly associates clearly understand performance expectations and how to navigate a personalized path of growth.
  • Support day-to-day FOH operations by being an active presence on the floor. 
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with our members and guests. 
  • Hold associates accountable for completing work efficiently and accurately. 
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate changes or updates to associates. 
  • Provide aid to all associates as needed.
  • Support in handling guest inquiries and requests, as well as resolving any guest complaints. 
  • Develop and grow beer, wine, and cocktail programs, including retail beverage and events. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years bartending experience.
  • Prior experience in a luxury hotel or private club preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years hospitality management experience.
  • College degree preferred.
  • CMS Level 2, or equivalent, required. 
  • Has a deep knowledge of our beer, wine, and cocktail offerings. 
  • Self-motivated to meet deadlines, manage priorities, communicate challenges, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Exceptional guest recovery skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Jonas preferred. 
  • Knowledge of JONAS preferred. 
  • Must be dependable and available to work within the resort on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands.
