Position Overview: As the HR Director at Yonder Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and strategy within our Residential Crisis Services Unit (RCSU) and Behavioral Health Services Organization (BHSO) facility in Berea, Kentucky. You will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation and execution of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that align with organizational goals and promote a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the overall organizational objectives and foster a culture of employee engagement and well-being.
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify and address HR-related challenges, provide strategic guidance, and contribute to decision-making processes.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legal/regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  2. Talent Acquisition and Management:
    • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
    • Develop and implement employee retention initiatives, performance management processes, and career development programs.
  3. Employee Relations:
    • Promote positive employee relations by fostering a culture of open communication, fairness, and respect.
    • Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance, counseling, and conflict resolution support.
    • Investigate and address employee grievances, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  4. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding compensation, benefits, and leave policies.
    • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Coordinate employee development initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, and career progression.
    • Collaborate with managers to support employee development plans and provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
  6. Compliance and Policy Implementation:
    • Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other HR certifications are desirable.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an HR Manager or HR Director, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office applications.
