Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Pulmonologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and a passion for respiratory medicine. With at least two years of experience in critical care and pulmonary medicine, the Pulmonologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of pulmonary conditions and diseases.

  • Patient Diagnosis and Treatment:

    • Diagnose and treat patients with a range of respiratory disorders, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and interstitial lung disease.
    • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and pulmonary function testing.
    • Manage patients requiring ventilator support, including those in intensive care settings.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including critical care specialists, oncologists, and radiologists, to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
    • Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
  • Procedural Expertise:

    • Conduct advanced diagnostic procedures to evaluate lung function and pathology.
    • Provide specialized care for patients with complex pulmonary conditions, including those with sleep disorders or lung infections.
    • Manage airway issues and provide emergency respiratory care as needed.
  • Patient Education and Advocacy:

    • Educate patients on the importance of smoking cessation, lung health, and other preventive measures.
    • Participate in public health initiatives related to respiratory diseases, promoting awareness and early detection.
    • Advocate for patients by ensuring they receive appropriate referrals to other specialists when necessary.
Qualifications

  • Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine.
  • Active medical license to practice as a physician.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in critical care or pulmonary medicine.
  • Proficiency in airway management and experience with ventilator support.
  • Experience in hospital-based pulmonology and familiarity with complex cases involving critical care settings.
  • Knowledge of pediatric pulmonary conditions is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical coding and documentation, ensuring accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Interest or experience in oncology, medical imaging, orthopedics, or related specialties is advantageous.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in pulmonary medicine.

Compensation - Min: $60,000| Max: $80,000

This position is in the proposal stage, we are waiting to be awarded the project.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
