Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHealthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Supervising Epidemiologist to support the Disease Control Bureau in the Los Angeles County area. The supervising epidemiologist will provide administrative assistance and supervise and direct the work of Epidemiologists and professional support staff in the provision of planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating multiple health-related surveillance systems, epidemiologic studies, and field investigations. The main responsibility of this position will be to assist the STD Lead in guiding the analytic team and ensuring that STD data are disseminated locally and nationally through presentations, conferences, and manuscripts.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 12/31/2024.
Pay Rate:
$49.76/hr

Shifts: Hybrid: (2-3 days a week in clients office located in Los Angeles, CA)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in epidemiology or its equivalent-and- five (5) years of post degree experience designing, conducting, and analyzing epidemiologic and evaluation studies and field investigations.
  • MUST have 3+ years post-Master's Degree experience
  • A valid Class C California Drivers License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
  • Proficiency in SAS Advanced analytical skills
