What it's like to be a 3rd shift Quality Control Technician

You will be at the forefront of our quality assurance processes. Your role will involve conducting thorough quality inspections, precise measurements, and rigorous testing on all manufactured parts. You will play a key part in analyzing data to ensure adherence to quality standards, documenting any nonconformances, and providing actionable recommendations to rectify and prevent quality rejections.

To excel as a Full Time Quality Control Technician 3rd Shift at Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions, proficiency in various software and tools is essential. You will need to adeptly inspect products to requirements through manual, visual, and attribute-based methods, reporting inspection results accurately. Generating Non-Conformance reports and effectively communicating findings to relevant stakeholders will be a crucial part of your role. Operating and programming equipment such as CMM, Vision systems, and Formtracer, as well as conducting data review on DCC data, are skills that will be instrumental in ensuring quality standards are met.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and uphold inspection procedures is vital. Additionally, maintaining the integrity and calibration of all inspection tools and equipment is paramount to guaranteeing accuracy in the quality control process. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Inspect product to requirements (manual, visual and attribute). Report results of inspection.
  • Generate Non-Conformance reports and communicate to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain part integrity & safety from damage during inspection.
  • Operate/program CMM, Vision system, Formtracer or other equipment
  • Perform data review on DCC data collected during inspection.
  • Pull defect tracking data from database, when necessary.
  • Pull dimensional reports from database, when necessary.
  • Ensure all gages used are properly verified, maintained and calibrated.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

This individual should have good handwriting, for documentation purposes. We want you to be safe, so you will be required to follow company established safety procedures. This individual must meet minimum vision standards, corrected or uncorrected, as follows: Snellen 14/18, 20/25 or better, Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches, or Ortho-Rated 8. Last, but not least, for ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
