Position Overview:
- Serve as project lead for all Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, including participating or leading testing events; validating and tracking through completion of test products, requirements, and defects; and recommending acceptance of test products and deliverables. Scope covers the following types of testing: developmental testing, performance testing, 508 compliance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and operational testing and evaluation.
- Serve as project lead for UAT to include developing the UAT plan, schedule, test scenarios, and scripts; coordinating with testers before, during, and after testing; facilitating UAT execution; monitoring and reporting test status and defects through resolution; and, developing UAT test report.
- Serve as project point of contact in the T&E Integrated Product Team (IPT) and contribute to developing the program testing strategy and the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
- Participate in Joint IPTs such as the Requirements and Training IPTs, advising the Program Manager and other government staff on their activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including project leads, for risk management, requirements management, training, and schedule management, among others. Identify, develop, monitor, and communicate testing risks and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop Acquisition Lifecycle Framework documentation to support Acquisition Decision Events. This may include:
- Update Concept of Operations and Operational Requirements Document (ORD) addenda based upon decisions made in the Discovery period as appropriate.
- Support the development of the Program Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and T&E Strategy based upon decisions made during the Discovery period.
- Assist in the creation of other SELC documentation, as required.
- Validate traceability between Operational Requirements, Functional Requirements, and lower-level System Requirements to developmental test events, integrated test events, and operational testing, ensuring that all requirements are met, per the TEMP.
- Develop briefing materials and white papers for the Program Manager and other government staff. Provide advice to the Program Manager on program strategy and execution.
- Experience managing the relationship between requirements and test cases and ensuring all requirements are testable and covered with test cases
- Experience developing test strategies, plans, scripts, and test reports; executing regression testing for planned software releases and system upgrades, and evaluating product code according to system specifications.
- Experience executing test cases (manual or automated) and analyzing results
- Experience creating logs to document and report testing defects and bugs to development teams and stakeholders
- Experience conducting post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment and working on tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Must have strong, hands-on experience in a variety of the following test and evaluation activities: developmental testing, performance testing, 508 compliance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution and acceptance, and operational testing and evaluation UAT Testing
Keys to Success in this Role:
- Proficiency with federal financial management and accounting concepts
- Experience with Agile frameworks and development
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Hardworking individual with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, and strong organization skills who inspires teammates to reach their maximum potential
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and can oversee and direct the test activities for the team and client stakeholders.
