The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a 501(c)(3) lineage-based membership organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American History, and securing America's future through education, seeks an experienced professional to serve as our Senior Director for Retail and Revenue.

This newly created position will be responsible for the strategic vision and tactical view of the retail and revenue streams within the DAR. The Senior Director will be at the center of all revenue-related functions, including marketing, sales, customer support, pricing, and revenue operations management.

The successful candidate must be able to successfully apply business practices and strategies to increase revenue and maximize efficiencies by evaluating and adapting new methodologies and technologies when needed.

This position reports to the Executive Director, and will liaise with executive leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads a senior-level team of managers and their staff.
  • Builds and fosters a team that is committed to strong customer service and efficient and effective performance.
  • Maximizes sales and efficiency by adding new, scalable partners in a strategic way. Identifies hidden opportunities and optimizes our processes.
  • Monitors and evaluates technology and applications for improving strategy and delivery.
  • Ensures alignment across of the DAR's revenue generating departments.
  • Collaborates with executive and senior leaders regarding product management, messaging, pricing strategies, and business models.
  • Participates in contract negotiations with vendors.
  • Monitors the marketplace and analyzes opportunities to provide competitive strategies and tactics.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. An MBA is desired.
  • 7-10 or more years of experience, including 5 years of management experience in diverse leadership roles.
  • A proven track record in business, including marketing, finance, and strategy development.
  • Demonstrated experience crafting pricing strategies and marketing campaigns using data analytics and analyzing customer interactions.
  • Strong technical experience with business applications and productivity tools.
  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach to management of staff.
  • Experience applying the use of ratios and other metrics to analyze business performance.
  • Familiarity of techniques to analyze business processes to create more efficiency, find innovative solutions, and obtain desired results.
  • Proficient at change management, which should include test runs of new or changed processes and tracking results of the changes after their implemented.

Benefits:

  • Hiring annual salary range will be between $110,000 and $140,000, with the final determination based upon the candidate's overall experience.
  • This position can be considered for hybrid remote work-after onboarding.
  • We offer both annual and sick leave, up to 12 days of each, for your first year of employment. Annual leave will increase on specific employment milestones.
  • We observe 12 federal holidays plus two floating holidays.
