Junior Foreman

With over 20 years of experience, Industrial Air Flow Dynamics is The Premier Field Service Group to the Power Generation Industry in the US, providing turn-key field construction services. We are currently seeking Junior Foremen who are eager to learn and grow with IAFD.
This is OUTAGE work and requires consistent travel throughout the US during February - June and October - December.
Qualifications:
- Must have 4 years of verifiable experience as a Junior Foreman or Lead Man in Industrial Construction.
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability with little to no oversight at times to lead a team with diverse skill sets.
- Must be willing to work with and around insulation.
- Must be available to travel continuously throughout the US to jobs (IAFD pays for travel).
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen - No felonies within the last 7 years.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High School Diploma/GED.
Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a crew of 6-10 on the demolition and reconstruction of expansion joints.
- Lead installation to ensure work is performed to IAFD's standards and project specifications.
- Communicate with the Field Service Manager about up-sales, scope changes, material, and labor needs.
- Complete daily JSA, time sheets, work summary log with pictures, inventory checklist, and job closeout form.
- Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
- Operate various power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, grinders, impact guns, and hydraulic jacks.
- Validate that all proper safety equipment, materials, and tools are on site to perform the required work.
- Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100+ feet, and in confined spaces, including working around insulation.
- Proper PPE must be worn at all times & adhere to all safety rules/regulations.
Working Conditions:
Inside Power Plants/Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking constantly. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 100 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
