Job Summary:

As the Senior Accountant 2 on the Accounting & Finance team, your focus will be crucial in maintaining financial records and assisting in financial reporting and compliance. You'll be responsible for contributing to the operational support of the financial team, adhering to our mission of clean energy transformation. Your expertise in accounting and strategic thinking will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of our company and contributing to our mission of clean energy transformation.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support cash flow management, including vendor relations and accounts payable.
  • Help prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist in the annual audit process.
  • Contribute to the management of internal controls for financial transactions.
  • Maintain schedules for tax filings and audits.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for deviations.
  • Support project teams in cost control and financial analysis.
  • Participate in improving workflows and systems.
  • Ensure all financial processes comply with relevant laws and regulations in the hydropower industry.
  • Drive professional growth and development by setting and achieving clear objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Promote and embody the company's core values, fostering a culture of alignment and commitment among team members.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager.


Qualifications:

  • 4 – 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hydropower or renewable energy sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail.
