Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the daily (monthly, quarterly) billing activities to ensure that all billing tasks are completed according to prescribed deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate customer invoices and produce complete series of administrative documents necessary to support the billing/collection process (i.e., SOA).
  • Review, log and track all service changes orders and corrective maintenance responses.
  • Follow up on unbilled costs and pending service change orders to facilitate timely billing.
  • Assist the AR Analyst in researching and responding to customer’s questions or disputes regarding outstanding invoices where the Billing Team is the responsible party.
  • Act as liaison between finance department and account management or field operations to resolve customer issues and make continued process improvements.
  • Coordinate with accounting team on sales tax and related billing topics.
  • Assist AR Analyst in resolving unapplied cash receipts.
  • Assist with finalizing monthly reports and invoice logs.
  • Prepare and/or export financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting data (i.e., statement of accounts, recognized revenue, etc.)
  • Work with manager on customer assignments and special projects within the team.
  • Support data integrity and completeness in ERP system for all critical customer and contract information, including billing & revenue schedules.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements when appropriate.
  • Proactively communicate and build relationships with customers; deliver an exceptional customer experience within each interaction.
  • Assist with SalesForce and NetSuite Implementation and testing.
  • Support finance group vision and actively facilitate our department standards, rules of engagement and service level commitment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Commerce or equivalent
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Background in contract management specifically for billing purposes
  • Strong overall business acumen in a service industry that performs a high-volume of revenue-generating scope of service.
  • A quick learner who can adapt to and master a new ERP/CRM system.
  • Innovative and results oriented.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
