Forward March Inc. is collaborating with a prominent construction equipment rental company, aiming to expedite Veterans and military spouses towards significant career opportunities in this industry. Job description below:

Our company is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.

This role consists of ensuring our fleet of equipment is up and running safely and smoothly. This means performing regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of construction equipment and delivery vehicle fleet in the branch location. You’ll also troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, ignition, and pneumatic systems, diagnose diesel and gas engines, and perform maintenance on drive trains.

Requirements

Preferred Qualities/Experience:

  • You should have one to three years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment or equipment rental background preferred.
  • Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; preferably five to ten thousand dollars in value.
  • Experience with diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, as well as drive trains is required.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance, minor and major repairs on hydraulics, electrical, ignition, transmission, drive trains, and pneumatic systems.
  • You have diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a good mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods preferred.
  • High quality control. Respect your work and make it known.
  • You are eager to learn and coachable to develop your knowledge and skills as a technician.
  • Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
  • You are a self-starter and motivated to be succesful. Career growth is available
