SUMMARY: Responsible for all fee-for-service billing, knowledge of payor contracts and reimbursement amounts. Provide problem resolution for billing issues of any type. Communicates well with the CFO, finance staff, and clinical staff. Is a liaison and resource for billing concerns to other departments and functions. Responsible for accurate revenue recognition and knowledge of Accounts Receivable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all fee-for-service billing for the Agency.

  • Preparation and analysis of financial & production reports as needed by management.
  • Identification and communication of billing and reimbursement issues to management.
  • Coordination and implementation of agency billing initiatives.
  • Collaborative efforts within Billing to include:
  1. Ability to research and resolve Billing issues with emphasis on root causes and correction.
  2. Excellent knowledge of Credible.
  3. Good working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Insurance.
  4. Knowledge of HIV Intensive Case Management billing processes.
  5. Knowledge of CPT Codes, Procedure Codes and Translations
  6. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of direct experience in the insurance, billing and third-party receivables field.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, excellent Microsoft excel skills.
