Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Logistician will provide support for Fleet Surface Combatants, Auxiliary and Amphibious ships, Aircraft Carriers and Submarine New Acquisition and Sustainment Logistics efforts. In conjunction with Division 31 product support codes, this support includes Integrated Logistics Support, Program and Project Management Support. It requires the incumbent to provide technical data systems development, maintenance planning support, support of joint logistics products and processes, design, development, testing and fielding support for joint technical data integration efforts, technical data packages and other data support, technical data conversion, and distribution/management of technical data. The incumbent shall furnish services and products in support of the following areas: Availability Support, ILS Certifications, Engineering and technical services, Configuration Management, Supply Support, Technical Manuals, Planned Maintenance, Remedy Tracking, Metrics capture and tracking, Process Improvement event support and coordination, ILS coordination, and Program Support.
This effort is in support of the Logistics Product Readiness Branch (Code 317) of the Integrated Logistics Engineering, Readiness and Training Division (31), Machinery Research, Logistics and Ship Integrity Department (30) and is to be executed in conjunction with support from product support branches within Division 31: Code 313 (Operational Procedures), Code 314 (Technical Manual and Readiness), Code 315 (Provisioning and Supply Support) and Code 316 (PMS and Maintenance Readiness). These branches are responsible for all surface ship, submarine and aircraft carrier machinery product support and ILS certifications for new construction, modernizations and NSWCPD Alteration Installation Team (AIT) programs. This includes action on any logistics items reported and verified through other sources, as well as updating associated products and configuration. This includes the coordination of logistics documentation for all U.S. Navy ship classes for new construction, fleet sustainment or operating ships, and overhaul programs
  • Provide Integrated Logistics Support, Program and Project Management Support for Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems with respect to assisting Code 317 with HM&E ILS, engineering, supply, and technical support for Surface Combatants, Auxiliary and Amphibious ships, Aircraft Carriers and Submarines
  • Provide support for ILS Certifications, Configuration Management, Supply Support, Technical Manuals, Planned Maintenance, and Remedy Tracking.
  • Provide support to the Logistics Product Readiness Branch, Code 317. Support encompasses Continental United States (CONUS) and Out of Continental United States (OCONUS) locations
  • Provide technical support with multifaceted ASR contractor team supporting both onsite USN government and at other site locations.
  • Coordinates with ASR lead, provider, customer, and user and continuous interfaces with the NSWCPD technical community (ISEA/Engineers/OEMs/vendors).
  • Provide technical support to the Code 317 Systems Branch, the Program Office, and the Program Field Offices. Support encompasses Continental United States (CONUS) and Out of Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
  • Represent NSWCPD Code 317 at various internal and external meetings in a professional manner.
