Job Description:

We are seeking a Linux Administrator to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWCPHD), a Department of Defense entity responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support organization for the Navys ships, submarines, military watercraft and unmanned vehicles.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) years of experience administering Linux operating systems, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Individuals should have strong communication, teamwork, customer relational experience, and technical problem-solving experience.
  • This individual should have experience in security and network/distributed computing concepts, and an ability to write and maintain BASH and Perl shell scripts, in addition to experience in DHCP, DNS, and maintaining DoD STIG Compliance.
  • Individuals should demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience with installation, configuration, integration, backups, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for servers associated with an Active Directory Domain.


Required Certification

  • IAT Level III: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH

Security Clearance:

  • Must currently possess an active Secret clearance (min.)
