Principal Manufacturing is seeking a Receiving Clerk to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition.

The Receiving Clerk will support the Receiving Department by loading, unloading, and moving material within the department. Receive and examine ordered stock items. Record/ report information into Plex (ERP systerm) and to appropriate department managers. Ensure timely delivery within the company of received products

Responsibilities:

  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems.
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data in PMC system ERP system (Plex).
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment and deliver/place in appropriate location.
  • Prepare Scrap by material type and schedule pickups to Vendor.

Requirements:

  • Maintaining lean concepts while looking for continuous improvement.
  • Assist Plant 1 in material handling, moving coils to and from warehouse and verifying accuracy.
  • Basic Mathematics skills.
  • Basic computer skills i.e., Word and Excel
  • Forklift certified
  • 6 months previous bar code scanning experience
  • 2 years receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma, equivalent Education/ Certification, or job experience.

  • 6 months experience in material handling & forklift operation in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bilingual a plus
    • Experience with ERP operating system
  • Follows all Company Safety Rules and maintains work area clean and use common sense at all times within the lean guidelines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and able stand/ bend for 8 hours.
  • Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events as they arise.
  • Based on need, may be asked to perform other duties as required by PMC.
