Job Description

JOB DETIALS

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Monday - Friday

Base pay starts at $17.00 - $19.00 per hour 

DETAILS AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Ability to be trained to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific direction, to be able to receive instructions on customer orders to run through the machinery
  • Setup machinery to perform requested operations for customer orders requiring the ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations
  • Operate machines to produce the correct items for orders while remaining standing in an upright position for long periods of time and moving about on foot
  • Will bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach at or above shoulder level 
  • Will lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and more with assistance 
  • Will be trained to use forklift to transport heavy weight metal coils
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion. 
  • May assist in report inventory levels to management
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to company and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Wear the proper protective equipment as required
Qualifications

  • 2 years production and/or shipping experience, preferably in the metals and materials industry
  • Ability to comprehend and execute work assignments with minimal follow up
  • Customer service and quality driven
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to be cross trained in other functions
  • Ability to use diverse hand tools and equipment to perform duties
  • Basic math, reasoning, problem solving and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
