Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mold Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of molds used in the production of various molded products. The Mold Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our molding processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare molds for production runs, ensuring proper installation and configuration.
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand molding requirements.
  • Operate molding machines to produce high-quality molded products.
  • Monitor machine parameters and make adjustments as necessary for optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on molds to prevent issues and ensure longevity.
  • Diagnose and address mold-related malfunctions promptly and effectively.
  • Inspect molded products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to implement improvements in the molding process.
  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mold efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Implement best practices to optimize the molding process.
  • Maintain detailed records of mold setups, changes, and maintenance activities.
  • Generate reports on machine performance and product quality.
  • Provide training and guidance to machine operators on mold-related processes.
  • Support production teams in addressing mold-related issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mold technology is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Mold Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of molding processes, materials, and machine operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
