Purpose: We are seeking a driven dentist for a full-time associate role at a locally owned private practice in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate would preferably have 2+ years’ experience.

Job Description

  • Performing exams and evaluating X-rays to determine a patient’s health

  • Developing treatment plans to deal with any dental health issues

  • Providing cosmetic services like teeth whitening, bonding and veneers to enhance the appearance of teeth

  • Filling cavities, performing root canals, endo, applying crowns and installing bridges and implants to fix broken and missing teeth

  • Surgical extractions

  • Administering or prescribing medications to decrease pain and improve patient health

  • Interacting with patients and instructing them on proper oral care

  • Measuring and fitting dental appliances

  • Maintaining accurate patient records

Skills and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of the current standards of care for dentistry and the latest oral health treatments available

  • Observational skills to diagnose oral health problems based on the findings of exams and X-rays

  • Ability to remain upright for long periods while treating patients

  • Interpersonal skills to put patients at ease and encourage positive interactions during appointments

  • Strong oral communication skills to convey clear instructions to both patients and assisting staff

  • Computer skills to utilize computer-aided dentistry equipment and medical records software

  • Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment, such as mouth mirrors, probes, drills, scalers, curettes, and diagnostics

  • Up-to-date knowledge on patient safety, infection control and privacy laws and regulations

  • Excellent leadership skills. Excellence starts from the top, and trickles down


Dentist Requirements:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery or dental medicine.

  • State license and malpractice insurance.

  • Additional experience, certifications, or licensing may be required.

  • Strong computer skills and experience with healthcare databases and applications.

  • Willingness to comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental and health care.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures

  • Potential for a 5-year commitment
