Delta Construction and Electric Company is a General Construction Company established in 1971. We have continued to grow and expand in a wide range of fields over the past 50 years, covering everything from industrial industries, solar projects, high rise offices, multi-use condominiums, and commercial manufacturing projects.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for power upgrade install, power distribution install, interior and exterior branch circuitry install, interior and exterior lighting install with knowledge of title 24 energy compliant lighting standards.
BONUS if candidates have knowledge/experience as a Foreman and/or mentoring, training or overseeing apprentice electricians.
To ensure success as a Journeyman Electrician, you should possess extensive experience in your field and contribute expertise to our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install wire and electrical cable conduit system, and other wire raceway systems
Pull and terminate wire and cable
Install interior and exterior lighting fixtures
Install pull boxes
Install switchgear, panelboards, and transformers.
Ability to operate a mini excavator, skid-steer, and trencher at a high-level a plus.
Qualifications:
Current CA issued Journeymans Card (Required)
8 or more years of electrician experience (preferred)
Up to date with all NEC Codes
Must have experience installing, bending and removing conduit.
Experience with installing and replacing lighting fixtures/systems, switchgear, electrical panels, transformers, switches, pulling & terminating wire, circuit breakers,
Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties
Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Physical Demands:
Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime when required.
Must be able to climb ladders and steep stairs, crawl, stand, stoop bend, crouch, kneel, sit, and reach
Must be able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
Must be able to work at various heights up to 120 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
Must be able to on a routine and repetitive basis walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
Must possess good vision (may be correct vision) and must have the ability to see in color
Job Type:
Compensation based on experience.
Must be willing to travel from site to site
Full-time
Pay: $28 - $40 per hour
