Job DescriptionJob Description

Reporting directly to the Finish Team Coordinator department this position has responsibility of building, fitting and installation of countertops. This position will also be responsible for helping with installation of cot mounts, cabinets and ceilings, helping other departmental employees, adhering to production schedule while maintaining a quality product.

This position requires frequent interaction with a variety of significant internal and external customers and is an active member of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Must have mechanical aptitude to include power and/or air tools

· Must be able to run/or ability to learn to run, shear, metal brake, table saws, miter saws, die grinder, files, sanders, sanding blocks and other equipment as assigned

· Must have knowledge and hands on experience with carpentry processes

· Must be able to problem solve and make decisions

· Must have ability to teach other employees processes

· Must possess or have ability to possess good finish work skills; attention to detail

· Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders

· Ability to inspect finished products during manufacturing

· Must be able to apply quality assurance techniques

· Must meet or exceed cost reduction goals

· Must have ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniques

· Knowledgeable of Life Line product and materials needed for production

· Work closely with Engineering staff

· Must possess ability to meet deadlines

· Work with and assist other production personnel

· Work closely with parts department on items needed

· Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

· Must have good measuring and mathematical skills

· Good communication skills

· Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures

· Other duties as assigned


Working hours Monday – Thursday 6 am – 2:30 pm, Friday 6 am – 10 am, must be flexible. May require coming in earlier or staying late on certain days.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Desire to obtain additional personal developmental training

EXPERIENCE:

· Previous mechanical tools/saw experience and Life Line product knowledge a plus

EDUCATION:

· High School diploma, technical degree in related field or equivalent experience

Physical Demands:

· Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, move and carry

· Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

· Ability to use your senses of sight, touch, sound and smell

Work Environment:
