Position: Ultrasound Tech
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Duties: As an Ultrasound Tech, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results.
Your duties will include:
- Conducting ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Operating ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images of various organs and tissues in the body.
- Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers during ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the ultrasound procedure.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations related to ultrasound imaging.
- Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze ultrasound images.
- Participating in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ultrasound results.
- Providing education and support to patients regarding ultrasound procedures and preparations.
Skill:
- Minimum of 1 year of general registered ultrasound experience.
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
Education:
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required.
Certifications & Licenses:
- RDMS Registered (000548)
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Languages: English( Speak, Read, Write )
Hours Per Week: 37.50 Hours Per Day: 7.50 Days Per Week: 5.00
Schedule Notes:
- RDMS Local Candidates Only No Virtual Interviews - In-Person only
- Shift Timing: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, alternating weekends required
- Weekends/Holidays required
- Training will be for 2 weeks, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including the EPIC class.
- Opportunity for extension.
