Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

Administer department policies affecting Casino floor area. Supervise employees to accomplish customer service and satisfaction. Coordinate all personnel on the Casino floor area. Be competent in working all positions in order to train and assist with problem solving. Ensure transactions are done correctly to safeguard Westgate assets. Complete all shift paperwork. Ensure compliance with gaming regulations. Analyze facts in disputes to determine solutions within guidelines for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

  1. Supervise and protect all games, ensuring all rules and regulations are being followed
  2. Respond to guest inquiries & provide guest satisfaction
  3. Safeguard property assets by ensuring all transactions are done correctly and accurately
  4. Administer department policies & procedures
  5. Supervise employees to ensure quality customer service and satisfaction
  6. Meet with outgoing CM on duty to review current days players, business volumes and current gaming results
  7. Complete and review shift roadmap. Adjust as needed for call-in. Increase or decrease FTE’s based on business volumes
  8. Pre-Shift Dealers and Floor Supervisors daily and one-on-one quarterly
  9. Meet with Slots team and review staffing levels, adjust based on business volumes
  10. Meet with MOD’s at scheduled time and location (when scheduled)
  11. Prepare next day’s roadmap – reduce or expand floor coverage based on occupancy and in-house players
  12. Complete weekly schedule for Dealers and Floor Supervisors
  13. Approve or deny vacation requests
  14. Inventory card & dice podiums
  15. Other duties as directed by VP of Casino Ops

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ascertain and document important information, to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to provide clear direction/guidance, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to staff. Assign and instruct all personnel in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement. Monitor workload and make staffing adjustments accordingly. Ability to deal with problems requiring initiative and good judgment. Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy property activity, serving as a role model for other employees. Resolve complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective solutions. 

Experience Requirements

  1. Basic mathematical skills necessary to verify/balance reports and perform simple calculations.
  2. Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  3. Supervise all staff including selection, training, counseling & discipline.
  4. Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
  5. Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  6. Ability to review a player’s skill levels and make a business decision based on your observation

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma. College education preferred but not required.
