POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Development Coordinator will work closely with the Contract and Relationship Manager, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and the Fund Development Committee of the Board of Directors to meet the development goals of Logan Heights Community Development Corporation (Logan Heights CDC). The Development Coordinator will be a keystone team member, concentrating on successfully leading the annual fund, special events, and donor stewardship initiatives. This position will also be responsible for the effective and efficient use of resources and the donor management system to measure and achieve development goals. They will be asked to think strategically about the organization's larger efforts, along with performing highly detailed and creative work daily.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Development Program Management (30%)
• Work with the Development Director to participate in creating, updating, and ensuring the success of the annual Development Plan from start to finish;
• Offer vehicles for employees, board members, and volunteers to participate in development activities and encourage a culture of philanthropy;
• Analyze development progress and adjust and improve initiatives and processes; and
• Track and monitor all grants using the organization's donor and grants management system.

Annual Fund Management (20%)
• Create and implement annual strategies for cultivating donors through mailings, social media, events, targeted appeals, email, and other avenues;
• Remain up to date on the latest fundraising techniques to attract a diverse range of donors and further the agency's fundraising goals;
• Create and implement strategies to leverage the power of social media, internet presence, printed materials, and technology use to cross-promote agency messaging;
• Involve board members in annual fund strategies to expand impact and buy-in; and
• Solicit needed in-kind donations.
Special Events Coordination (20%)
• Collaborate with the Contract and Relationship Manager to create robust special events calendars that recognize long-standing events while welcoming new traditions;
• Lead all pre-event and day-of logistics for special events, including signature agency events, conferences, cultivation and exposure opportunities, and third-party run events;
• Work with event vendors and consultants as needed;
• Manage the corporate sponsorships program;
• Create and implement new techniques and fine-tune existing techniques to ensure profitability of fundraising events and Stakeholder engagement;
• Cultivate and steward motivated participants to both raise funds for events and remain connected to the agency afterward;
• Engage board members to fully utilize their ideas, connections, and talents; and
• Create and implement new techniques to ensure the agency's mission, services, and needs are conveyed at fundraising events.

Donor Stewardship (20%)
• Oversee accurate gift processing standards, including timely gift entry and acknowledgment and integrity of data;
• Effectively utilize the donor tracking database through accurate entry, advanced reports, and integrated communication options;
• Ensure all donors are acknowledged promptly;
• Work with the Contract and Relationship Manager to manage a pipeline of donors and welcome supporters at every level;
• Recommend development process modifications; and
• Work to build and grow a portfolio of individual donors.

General Responsibilities (10%)
• Participate in contract negotiation and manage vendor relationships;
• Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory certifications, requirements, and evaluations promptly;
• Maintain current knowledge in present areas of responsibility, profession, and industry trends;
• Carry out compliance duties with all state and federal regulations and guidelines;
• Comply with organization and site policies and procedures; and
• Make positive contributions by suggesting improvements, and learning new skills, procedures, and processes.
