Myland Homecare, a dedicated pediatric provider, is seeking an experienced and passionate Pediatric Nurse Instructor to join our team. This position is ideal for retired nurse educators or active nurses looking to supplement their income while imparting valuable knowledge and skills. The role involves teaching and training Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in the specialized area of care for medically fragile pediatric patients in a home setting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Educational Leadership: Conduct and oversee weekly Friday training sessions, from 1PM until 5PM, that cover the essential practical skills needed to care for medically fragile children in a home setting, ensuring all training is compliant with current healthcare regulations and standards. 
  • Curriculum: Follow the Myland Homecare curriculum and training materials based on the latest clinical practices and technological advancements in pediatric care.  
  • Skill Assessment: Evaluate the competencies of nursing staff through practical and theoretical assessments to ensure a high standard of pediatric care. 
  • Mentorship: Provide ongoing support and mentorship to nursing staff, enhancing their confidence and skills in delivering exceptional home care to pediatric patients. 

Requirements: 

  • Professional Experience: Must have significant experience in nursing with a focus on medically fragile pediatrics. Prior experience in NICU or a similar setting is highly desirable. 
  • Educational Background: A background in nursing education, either as a former nurse educator or through formal training roles within healthcare settings. 
  • Certifications: Current Georgia nursing licensure as an RN. Additional certifications in pediatric care or education are a plus. 
  • Skills: Excellent teaching abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to develop engaging training content. 

Employment Type: 

  • Contracted 

Compensation: 

  • $120 per 4-hour training session. 
  • Weekly pay every Friday

  • On-site at Myland Homecare facilities
