Summary:

The hardscape foreman plans, directs, and controls the activities of their job sites.

Essential Functions:

· Ensure that all projects meet or exceed client expectations

· Thorough understanding of hardscape construction

· Oversees a crew of hardscape laborers

· Is tasked with following the blueprints hardscape jobs

· Directs crew members on tasks

· Trains crew members on hardscape procedures and using equipment

· Ensures that adequate materials, supplies and tools are on hand to complete each job.

· Makes sure that all jobs are completed on time and within the established budget.

· Operates and trains crew equipment such as skid steers, dump bodies, saws, etc…

· Operates power tools such as drills, saws, blowers, etc..

· Drives vehicles to job sites

· Contacts “no show” employees

· Purchase gasoline for vehicles and equipment

· Review LMN timesheets

· Provides reports on construction jobs to Construction and Enhancement Project Manager.

· Assists the construction crew in a variety of tasks involving manual labor in landscaping and small construction projects.

Supervisory Responsibility:

The hardscape crew team members report to the Hardscape Foreman.

Processes:

This position decides on how the work is completed and in which order the tasks are performed.

Work Environment:

Work is done outside. The employee will be exposed to extreme weather fluctuations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

This position requires the use of safety equipment such as but not limited to ear protection, gloves, eye protection, etc…

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight or more throughout the assigned workday.


Other Duties:

The culture at TCLA, TCSA and Great Deal Products is one of a family – It will be common place for “projects” to come along and we expect members of the staff to step up and “own” such a project. To see it through to the end. To communicate, ask for help and diligently work to an agreed upon deadline and budget. Expect to be the “champion” of such projects as time goes on.
