Purpose 


The Traffic Control Flagger coordinates and oversees traffic control, flagging and signing for all divisions.


Job Responsibilities 


  • Place signs, barricades, and traffic cones.
  • Follow all safety precautions to protect motorists and construction workers.
  • Coordinate traffic signals with construction crews and other flaggers.
  • Ability to interact with public and coworkers.
  • Ability to think clearly and remain alert at all times.
  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to tolerate work in extreme temperatures and stand for long periods of time (up to 14 hours at a time).


Requirements 


  • Experience preferred but not required
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record for past 3 years
  • Flexible hours – Must be able to work weekends
