Responsibilities

DevOps is critical for making Mainspring products work and for making the company function efficiently. Unlike many pure-cloud DevOps, Mainspring software spans real-time code in C and C++ that need to be CI tested on hardware (PIL), desktop data-analysis tools in scripted languages, and cloud software that connects our field devices. As a DevOps Engineer you will help create and expand the environment to keep the software development, manufacturing, and production process running smoothly.

  • You will maintain and develop tools and scripts that automate the software development process

  • You will manage the cloud infrastructure and software development environments including CI/CD

  • You will manage the on-site and cloud servers for both development and production

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or other related engineering field

  • Understand the software product life cycle with an interest in maintaining software development environments e.g. source code control, cloud setup, access and security, Linux and scripting languages, continuous integration in the cloud, etc.

  • Experience with Linux systems, bash and Python scripting

  • Driven and self-directed enthusiastic contributor

The Bay Area salary for this role is $100k-$115k base + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The salary will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.
