Scope:
The Registered Nurse (RN) shall provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a professional and compassionate manner. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize patient outcomes. The RN will report to the nurse supervisor and will be clinically supported by the worksite medical provider. The RN must adhere to established policies, procedures, standards of nursing practice and will practice nursing care within the scope of practice as governed by the states Nurse Practice Act.

All healthcare services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles, regulations, best practices and ethics of the profession.

Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive physical assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and perform procedures as prescribed.
Monitor patients condition and document observations accurately.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient needs are met.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
Collaborate with medical team as needed.
Coordinate patient care and prioritize tasks as needed.
Maintain all medical records in accordance with privacy laws, medical protocols and policies.
Properly respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Ensure patient safety through adherence to infection control practices and other safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Participate in shift handovers and provide detailed patient status reports.
Ensure discharge plan is individualized and appropriate for the population served.
Comply with all applicable Summit Healthcare Solutions standards and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Qualifications:
Associates degree from an accredited nursing school.
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license from a State within the United States.
Current unrestricted multistate Registered Nurse license.
Two (2) years of clinical Registered Nurse experience.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS).
Ability to understand instructions furnished in written and oral forms of English.
Proficiency in the use of basic Microsoft word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited nursing school.
Five (5) years of clinical Registered Nurse experience.
Two (2) years of Registered Nurse leadership experience.
Board certified in designated nurse specialty.

Physical Requirements:
Routinely performed in an interior clinic / office environment.
May involve sitting for prolonged periods of time.
May require standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 25 pounds.
