Position Summary

We are searching for an experienced apprentice electrician to join our team. The electrician apprentice’s responsibilities include completing all tasks assigned by the master electrician, which may include assisting with installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibrations of electrical systems and equipment. You should be eager to learn and able to follow instructions. To be successful as an electrician apprentice, you should demonstrate good time management and customer service skills. Outstanding candidates are highly analytical, observant, and have sound knowledge of safety protocols. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with electrical installations, troubleshooting and repairs, and maintaining electrical systems within our properties. Will be working in heights, specifically with extension ladders.


Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Learning from the master electrician and completing all assigned duties.
  • Identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs of equipment and electrical faults.
  • Traveling out to various properties in Texas to assist the master electrician.
  • Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Updating work logs, client accounts, and handling other administrative duties.
  • Ordering replacement parts and equipment as needed.
  • Completing electrical installations and carrying out various maintenance duties.
  • Working overtime when required.
  • Communicating with clients professionally and courteously.
  • Collaborating with vendors, plumbers, and other crew members.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Experience Requirement: A seasoned apprentice with 3 years or more of experience in the electrical field.
  • Basic Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and systems in accordance with the NEC.
  • NEC Compliance: Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and its application in electrical installations.
  • Conduit Installation: Ability to install conduit systems following NEC guidelines for routing electrical wiring.
  • Pipe Bending: Proficiency in bending conduit pipes accurately to fit specific project requirements while adhering to NEC standards.
  • Wire Installation Methods: Knowledge of different wiring methods and techniques, including cable pulling and termination, according to NEC regulations.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to work in various environments, climb ladders, and lift heavy equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision is crucial in electrical work to ensure safety and compliance with NEC standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues within NEC guidelines and find solutions.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to learn from experienced electricians, collaborate with other team members, and adhere to NEC regulations.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and NEC regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and adhere to NEC specifications.
  • Technical Aptitude: Willingness to learn how to use tools and equipment specific to the electrical trade, ensuring NEC compliance.
