Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionWe are seeking a GIS Intern who will be responsible for assisting the Intelli-Fiber Project Team working within our Esri-based GIS platform. 

This position requires a self-driven, motivated individual who is willing to collaborate and work within a team atmosphere. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned GIS tasks for designs to include performing quality control reviews and ensuring accuracy and consistency with designs.  
  • Updating and maintaining computer-generated data and mapping systems to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of information.
  • Identify publicly available municipal, county, state, and federal datasets.
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Candidates working towards a college or technical degree in GIS preferred.
  • Some experience with GIS tools and ArcGIS tools a plus.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and enjoys working in online mapping systems to complete work.
  • Hardworking and self-driven, and comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Interest or experience in learning tools and technologies.
  • Able to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Follow directions as outlined by the manager and ask clarifying questions when needed.
