Graphics Specialist/Sign Production

Position Summary:
Is responsible for preparing substrates/media and producing all graphics/signage jobs according to work order specifications within the stated timeline. Responsible for designing, producing, delivering and installing all types of high quality signage and interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Responsible for designing all billboard creative for Del Outdoor associates. Responsible for answering the telephone, covering the sales counter, answering customers’ questions and assisting them with the purchase and layout of their order.
Essential Functions:
1. Works independently to enter projects into the computer and produces proofs in a timely manner.
2. Cuts and prints vinyl in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Cuts and prepares background materials.
4. Produces signs and installs signage.
5. Maintains a high degree of quality and efficiency in all areas of production.
6. Maintains printers, edgers, plotters and other Sign Pro equipment as needed.
7. Performs layout functions including: weeding, masking, and finished production.
8. Performs professional vehicle wrapping design and assists with installation.
9. Works directly and proactively with customers.
10. Performs installation on various substrates and vehicles.
11. Must be trained, certified and able to operate scissor lifts/aerial platform or similar equipment safely.
12. Monitors materials and supplies and alerts Sign Pro Manager with material requisitions and end-of-month inventory reports.
13. Assists Del Outdoor as needed. Produces all creative artwork for billboard vinyls and paper.
14. Gives estimates, assists walk-in and phone clients, and collects payments from customers.
15. Has contact with customers on the phone and in the office in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring the highest level of customer service at all times.
16. Exceed customer expectations. A customer is anyone who contributes directly or indirectly to the revenues of the organization.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Participates in company Hazard Communication program and follows all safety regulations.
2. Cross trains in other jobs for back-up purposes as assigned.
3. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing any customer service related duties to the desired results as needed.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend basic instructions verbally and in writing.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Additional experience in sales and the sign industry a plus.
3. Knowledge of art/design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Quark, etc.
4. Must possess strong math and spelling skills, ability to multi-task and must be detailed oriented.
5. Ability to work independently. Be self-motivated, follow instructions, work quickly and handle stress of high production demands.
6. Ability to type 40 words per minute accurately.
Physical Demands: The physical demands of the job may include bending, sitting, standing, lifting, climbing and driving.
