Lifeguard

As one of the largest providers of social service in Massachusetts, Catholic Charities of Boston offers over 70 programs and services in 23 locations around Eastern Massachusetts.

We a Lifeguard for a seasonal position at the Sunset Point Camp Program located in Hull.

The Camp Lifeguard is responsible for the supervision of pool, bay and beach swimming activities throughout the summer to ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for campers. The position includes overseeing weekly swim tests for arriving campers, oversight of daily scheduled recreational swim and water activities for campers each week. This position is seasonal and includes staff training days the week before camp starts.

Qualifications include

• Must be at least 16 years old and hold a current lifeguard certification with the American Red Cross, American Canoes Association Instructor or WSI certification preferred.
• Certified in First Aid/ CPR/AED by a nationally recognized organization
• Experience working with latency age youth
• Minimum of 1 year/season as a lifeguard
• Ability to work well with other team members
• Possess strong communication skills
