Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a qualified Sr. CNC programmer. They will be responsible for developing a variety of CNC Programs for CNC Machines (Lathe and Mill), including selection of proper tooling for each application, and programs to produce in accordance with specified requirements. They are directly responsible for the quality of work performed.

Essential Duties:

1. develop CNC Programs for the production of products in accordance with specified requirements

2. select proper tooling for each application

3. maintain current inventory of CNC programs to prevent the uses of out dated programs

4. set up and manufacture products with little or no supervision

5. make offset as necessary program

6. record data as required (eg. collect and enter daily production logs)

7. keep management informed of developments during the manufacturing process (when work is completed, any nonconformance occurrence, machine problems etc.)

8. keep the work area in a neat and orderly condition

9. keep production constant when operators are on non-scheduled breaks

10. keep track of and transfer all pertinent information to products and data sheets (job/serial/heat number, etc.)

11. keep equipment properly maintained at all times

12. work with other departments within the organization to achieve high efficiency of the company

13. recommend the purchase of specialized manufacturing equipment

14. other administrative tasks as assigned or requested by the department manager/supervisor

Skills:

1. capable of programming & supporting 15 CNC machines (all Fanuc)

2. 3+ years of Mastercam

3. 5+ years programming experience mills & lathes

4. 10+ years operating and setting up mills & lathes

5. Self driven & capable of leading machinists independently

6. Great leadership and communication skills

7. Continuous improvement mindset

8. Capable of working in fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Experience in oil & gas organizations
  • Experience with pressure control equipment (Blow Out Preventors)
  • Experience in aftermarket or repair atmosphere
  • Experience with large/heavy parts (15,000 lbs. max)
