The Gwinnett Coalition (Coalition) is a growing 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to lead systems change and build capacity to advance equity and community well-being. The Coalition collaborates with members of local government, the business community, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and concerned citizens to champion health equity, mental and behavioral health, and nonprofit capacity building and to achieve our vision of an equitable, resilient, and healthy Gwinnett.

 

The Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing  technology and systems infrastructure, providing technical support to staff, and collaborating to implement innovative solutions to support the Coalition’s mission, including but not limited to association management systems (AMS), Microsoft Office, Teams phone integration, Zoom, and AI-powered tools.

General Responsibilities

Technology Infrastructure Management

  • Support the, configuration, deployment, and tracking of employee issued hardware.
  • Support optimization the Coalition’s technology platforms and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain an accurate hardware inventory and track the duty cycle of Coalition-owned and employee deployed machines, headsets, cables, and other peripherals.
  • Administer and customize association management system to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the AMS platform.
  • Collaboratively develop and document standard operating procedures for technical tools and platforms.

 

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff members -- including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving connectivity problems, user account management --and assisting with software installations and updates.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, documentation, and training materials to empower staff to effectively utilize technology tools and platforms.

 

Strategic Technology Planning

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends relevant to the Coalition’s work and mission.
  • Collaborate with leadership and other team members to develop and implement budgets and strategic technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new software applications and technology solutions.
  • Collaboratively develop various plans and reports, such as an information security plan and technical implementation plans.

 

Data Management and Analysis

  • Support the collection, organization, and analysis of data to inform decision-making and measure the impact of programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems to ensure accurate and accessible storage of organizational data.

 

Microsoft Office

  • Serve as the first point of contact support Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams phone integration.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff on utilizing Microsoft Office and Teams effectively for their work.

 

Capacity Building Support

  • Maintain and manage the Nonprofit Directory.
  • Add, update, and delete member and investor records in the AMS, as needed.
  • Provide technical support for online boards (e.g., volunteer finder board, job board, etc.)

 

Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of association management systems (AMS) and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including experience with Microsoft Teams and its integration with phone systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in computer science, information technology or related field (or equivalent academic and/or work experience).


Physical Requirements

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move items and materials to perform job duties.
