The PAD is a 101-bed boutique hotel + hostel, bar, and event space in beautiful Silverthorne, Colorado which is located in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and only an hour from Denver. The PAD is one of Colorado’s first certified B-Corp in the hospitality industry and Summit County’s first overall certified B-Corp.


The PAD’s vision is to be as socially & environmentally responsible as possible. We want to inspire not only our guests, but our colleagues and community as well, by showcasing how a business can create a positive impact for people & the planet through thoughtful consideration of employee equality & wages, product procurement, waste & recycling, and support for local artisans and businesses.

The PAD is currently looking to fill several positions with enthusiastic, like-minded individuals to help create an amazing community and work culture for both our staff and guests to enjoy.

Night Auditor

The Night Auditor at The Pad will have the unique opportunity to help create an outstanding hospitality experience for our guests.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide administrative and receptionist support to guests of the hostel
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and diligently help to resolve issues that may arise in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Front desk duties (making reservations, checking in/out guests, hostel tours, responding to guests via phone & email)
  • General cleaning & housekeeping duties
  • Preparing the lobby and common areas for the day
  • Setting up guest coffee and tea service
  • Preparing departure lists for housekeeping

The Night Auditor helps to create a positive experience for guests from the moment they enter our establishment. The Night Auditor is personable, service-oriented, organized, and adaptive. The Night Auditor exudes an optimistic, energized, positive lifestyle and has a knack for helping others feel at home.


A Day in the Life of:

  • Acts as the first point of contact for guests during check-in/out and assists with any issues or requests guests may have overnight.
  • Answers phones and places reservations.
  • Assists in running reports for management and provides support with hotel accounting.
  • Maintains records as necessary.
  • Resolves any guest billing and balance issues.
  • Reconciles all accounts in a timely manner.
  • Responds to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies.
  • Verifies that work has been performed by other departments.
  • Maintains and builds a strong sense of community, integrity, and brand for all who visit and work at The Pad.
  • Willingness to learn and become fluent with PMS (property management system) and task management software.
  • Serves in an administrative support capacity.
  • Develops a thorough knowledge of the hotel room amenities, types of rooms, services of hotel, bar menu offerings, etc.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by Leadership.


Requirements:

Must Haves:

  • Positive, friendly, and helpful attitude.
  • Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, and holidays included).
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exemplifies teamwork and is willing to go above and beyond
  • Self-starter with great time management skills.
  • Experience in conflict management and resolution
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for an extended period of time.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous hotel reception experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in a customer-focused environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Summit County cultural + outdoor recreation opportunities preferred.
