Job description

Groundskeeper/Porter
We are seeking a Groundskeeper/Porter to improve and maintain the physical quality of our properties. The Groundskeeper/Porter will maintain outdoor and indoor common areas and serve as backup for housekeeping as needed. This position has room for advancement into technical maintenance positions with employer-paid training.
The work is performed in a variety of environments under the immediate oversight of the Maintenance Supervisor and the overall direction of the Capital Maintenance Officer. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm benefits-eligible position in Clearwater, FL.

Required Skills & Experience:

• General landscaping techniques and processes.
• Equipment usage and minor repair.
• General principles of safety and fire prevention.
• Building maintenance practices and principles.
• Use of various building and grounds maintenance tools and equipment.
• Perform moderately strenuous physical activity, work with pesticides, safely dispose of hazardous materials, identify stains and use proper chemicals for their removal.
• Operate manual and power equipment.
• Operate motor vehicle in order to visit various sites and properties.
• Frequently move about the assigned property working in a variety of conditions and locations including ladders, rooftops, confined areas, etc.
• Lift and carry items weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
