Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and providing care and supervision to preschool-aged children.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Support children's learning and development through meaningful interactions and play-based experiences.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their well-being and individual needs are met.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance, promoting positive discipline techniques and conflict resolution skills.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive classroom community.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in early childhood education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
