A day in the life of am Aquarist ll - Corals

Aquarist lls begin their day with a morning check on the exhibits they are responsible for. Aquarists inspect the health of each coral specimen, looking for signs of bleaching, disease, or stress. They take note of water parameters such as temperature, pH, salinity, and nutrient levels, adjusting as necessary. After the initial rounds, the aquarist prepares a variety of foods, including phytoplankton, zooplankton, and specially formulated coral feeds. The aquarist may also spend time fragging corals, a delicate process of propagating new corals from existing colonies, which helps to sustainably expand the aquarium's coral collection. As the day winds down, the aquarist reviews the day's data, logging all observations, and plans for any changes in the care regimen. They double-check that all systems are running smoothly before heading out for the day.
