POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing a full range of counseling and clinical duties including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, education, and treatment of clients experiencing substance use addiction and/or related behavioral health disorders. Clinicians are responsible for scheduling clients following initial appointment. Service provision and supervision of unlicensed staff will be provided by an appropriately credentialed licensed staff.
REPORTS TO:
Program Lead
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide at least 26 hours of direct provision (e.g., group, individual session, etc.)
• Administer, score, and interpret assessment tools utilized by the program.
• Collaboratively develop treatment plans based upon assessment data, diagnosis, stage of change, and clinical presentation.
• Engage diverse populations utilizing an approach that is person-centered and responsive to culture, gender, and trauma experience.
• Demonstrate ability to defuse emergency situations with non-violent crisis skills.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries and limits with clients and coworkers.
• Maintain clear, timely, and presentable documentation.
• Participate in supervision and case conference as required by program.
• Licensed staff may be asked to provide clinical signoff and/or supervision.
• Individuals identified as a supervising clinician will be responsible for the provision of clinical supervision of interns and unlicensed clinicians as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Master’s degree in license eligible behavioral health field.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in related field.
• Professional clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred. Associate license required (MLSW, PC-A, MFT-A), with ability to obtain full clinical licensure within 2 years of hire.
• Working knowledge of psychotropic medications and side effects.
• Ability to complete documentation in electronic health record system.
• Ability to learn new systems and programs quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others as a team.
