Position: Facilities Coordinator

Reports to: Facilities Supervisor, Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-exempt, Hourly

Southall Farm and Inn is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. The Facilities Coordinator will be working with the Southall Experience Service Team and other multiple departments under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper. This role will be instrumental in the process of system transitions to utilizing the Alice platform in the ticketing capacity. This role will be responsible for fielding guest requests and acting as the Facilities Coordinator for internal requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and ongoing programming of the Alice ticketing platform – that will also involve Project Management orders and tickets for Engineering, Grounds, Landscaping, IT, Security, Guest Services, etc.
  • Assist with supply orders and budget tracking as it relates to these areas.
  • Serve as the Rooms/Housekeeping Departments’ representative while working in concert with the Southall Experience Service Team to capture, address, and resolve guests’ or internal clients’ requests.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact, coordinate and communicate through daily pre-shift meetings and cross-departmental activities.
  • Maintain hotel property standards, policies and procedures. Prioritize and organize work assignments, direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed.
  • Occasionally assists the Housekeeping Leadership with organizational tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned; including but not limited to printing and distribution of restaurant menus, rooms collateral, etc.

Skills and Experience:

  • Two to five years of Hotel/Resort or large facility housekeeping maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior or current knowledge of and experience using HotSOS and/or Alice ticketing systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise and professional manner in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and leadership to their understanding.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Excellent team skills, including but not limited to, listening, coaching, guiding, flexible working, adaptability, collaboration, problem resolution, and facilitation.
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs.
  • Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to walk, stand for prolonged periods as needed.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
