Duties:
- Routine scheduled maintenance
- Vehicle inspections
- Diagnosis and repair of engines, transmissions, steering systems, braking systems, suspension systems, A/C systems, electrical systems, etc.
- Complete repairs correctly and efficiently, passing all quality standards set forth by the dealership
- Adhere and comply to all company safety policies and procedures
- Effectively communicate with Parts Department, Service Advisors and Dispatch regarding status of repair orders
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work area and follow proper disposal protocols for waste products
- Timely completion of Ford service certifications and continuing education courses as directed by service management
Experience:
- MUST HAVE at least 5 years of verifiable automotive technician/mechanic experience in an automotive dealership or automotive service industry business
- Candidates must possess a sufficient range or personally-owned automotive repair tools in good working condition
- Working knowledge of a wide range of automotive repair shop equipment, such as tire and wheel equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, A/C recovery and charging equipment, etc.
- Professional appearance
- Team attitude, charismatic and must work well in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Exceptional verbal, written and in-person communication skills
- Strong references
- Excellent work ethic, punctual and “do it right the first time” attitude
- Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
- Valid driver's license with exceptional driving record
