What We Need:
We are looking for experienced COMPOSITE TECHNCIANS to join McCLARIN Composites. Candidates with prior experience working with fiberglass-reinforced epoxy, carbon fiber-reinforced epoxy, and other composite materials are encouraged to apply TODAY

If this sparks your interest, look no further As a COMPOSITE TECHNICIAN you will be responsible for some of or all parts of the manufacturing of composites thru the application of open or closed mold processes up to and including vacuum infusions, operating equipment for Class A Gel Coat Booth, Resin/GC CAT, and or RTM Pump. You will be responsible for inspecting equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition and expected to always follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
A Day in the Life of:
- Cleans and prepares molds for lamination or vacuum infusion process.
- Reviewing blueprints and work instructions to ensure all steps are followed.
- Arranges fiberglass sheet in molds as outlined in the work instructions.
- Mixes portions and pours resin/catalyst according to product specifications.
- Prepares, initiates and monitors vacuum cure and/or infusion process.
- Apply fiberglass and/or gelcoat to products, following job-specific spray patterns to ensure even coating within tolerance specifications.
- Removes cured product from mold and stages product for quality inspection.
- Maintains, cleans chop/gel gun, and makes minor repairs as needed.
- Inspects product during and after application process, ensuring proper thickness and completing any associated forms/checklists.
- Assist with other steps in the lay-up process when business needs arise.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What Makes You Qualified:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- At least two years of progressive experience working with composite materials
- Advanced Proficiency with composite tools and techniques, such as Vacuum infusion, Prepreg and wet lay-up
- CCT Certifications a plus
- Coursework in assembly and fabrication from a trade or vocational school a plus
Must Haves:
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours with occasional breaks.
- Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs unassisted and 70 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to read blueprints, decimals, and fractions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruct team members.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
