Eagle Mountain International Church ePastor must be dedicated to the mission and vision of the church and advancing that vision within our online audience. The ePastor must be able to strategically foster pastoral connections with eMembers that will facilitate their connection to EMIC. The successful candidate will develop online discipleship programs geared toward cultivating eMembers faith in Jesus and their understanding of the Word of God. The ePastor will be the primary point of contact for our online congregation and will work to connect eMembers to online Groups & eGroups, weekly online services, and more. With direction from EMIC senior pastors and church leadership, the ePastor will establish and perpetuate EMIC’s online influence with the goal of continued expansion onto every available voice. This individual will be responsible for developing a viable, dynamic, well-balanced ministry strategy for the purpose of achieving measured growth within the online community. Additionally, the ePastor serves as a part of the pastoral team and is responsible for connections and pastoral duties beyond their main demographic as directed by leadership. This position reports to the EMIC Groups pastor. The position is ON-SITE.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preach, teach, and minister to e-members and the online congregation through multiple avenues of communication, including but not limited to online services, in-person events, online bible studies, online groups, victory campaigns, conventions, etc.
  • Establish and cultivate pastoral relationships with e-members for the purpose of connecting them to the mission of the church.
  • Utilize all available technologies (i.e., Church Record Management system, texting tools, e-Mail and analytical tools) to interact with and communicate with our online congregation.
  • Establish a strategic program that ensures every eMember has a point of connection with the church.
  • Develop, mentor, and train volunteer leaders and teams to facilitate ministry activities online and in-person (local to eMembers).
  • Develop strategic relationships with EMIC/KCM/KCBC stakeholders for the purpose of ministry to our online congregation.
  • Establish specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound goals for the overall growth of our eMembers and online followers.
  • Manage the guest follow-up and assimilation programs for new online followers and eMembers.
  • Develop and implement plans and procedures to cultivate and assist EMIC’s social media influence with the goal of moving social media followers into eMembership.
  • Minister in various capacities outside the online community as part of the expectations and requirements of the EMIC Pastoral team.
  • Partner with and minister to online congregation members to provide pastoral support in the spirit of faith during times of crisis.
  • Respond to communications from eMembers and the online congregation.
  • Contribute to the church’s website and web-based social media design and development to ensure a consistent brand and message are provided throughout.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must oversee and provide direction to e-member team, staff, volunteers, and others as required/assigned.
Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Four-year degree preferred.
  • Training/Certifications in WordPress and other CMS based environments.

MINISTRY:

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must be a member of EMIC, regularly attend church services, and support the leadership of EMIC.
  • Must be a regular tither to EMIC.
  • Must possess a servant’s heart and operate as Armor Bearer.
  • Must be sensitive to needs of others, which includes a love and commitment to the congregation of EMIC and Kenneth Copeland Ministries staff.
  • Must poses interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse groups of people, considerable skill, and diplomacy in communication. Ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside departments or groups.
  • Must be self-motivated and take initiative. Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
  • Must operate with pre-emptive thinking and must be discerning and able to make good judgment calls with minimum supervision.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must oversee and provide direction to e-member team, staff, volunteers, and others as required/assigned.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to sit at a computer for a minimum of seven hours per day.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
  • Must be very detailed, organized and require a modicum of instruction.
  • Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations.
  • Must be communicative.

  • Requires the ability to multi-task.
  • Must adapt well to changing work situations.
  • Must be able to grasp and apply new ideas.

  • Must have good command of the English language and be able to proofread work.
  • Must have a sense of the workings of a ministry and the demands physically, emotionally, and spiritually of the staff and pastors.

  • Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred.
  • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people of all cultures.
