FETCH is seeking Experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians at our Fort Myers Florida location.

This is an overnight emergency position.

Hours – 7:00pm-8:00am

Beautiful Privately Owned Specialty and Emergency Hospital

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is looking for talented and caring individuals to join our emergency team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of the Fetch Vets family

Come help us provide the most comprehensive array of cutting-edge treatment options available. Our team of board-certified specialists works closely to provide the highest quality, comprehensive care to our patients.

Our ideal candidates are:

  • Detailed oriented, have advanced Emergency Nursing Skills and experience, LVT or CVT, preferred.
  • Are able to monitor and care for patients using state of the art equipment and protocols.
  • Have advanced nursing skills to include anesthesia monitoring, catheter placement, phlebotomy, central line placement.
  • Have knowledge of anesthetic protocols used in emergency surgical procedures
  • Have knowledge of running in house lab machines
  • Have knowledge of taking radiographs
  • Have knowledge of triage
  • Have a sound knowledge of emergency procedures and processes.
  • Motivated, compassionate, and detail oriented.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to provide advanced nursing care for our board-certified specialists and our patients.
  • Candidates will work with other experienced technicians, assistants and a dedicated support staff, all committed to excellent patient care.
  • Knowledge and experience with CT scans are a plus
  • Knowledge of EzyVet, SmartFlow and the Cubex systems are helpful
  • We will consider all candidates with advanced nursing skills and experience in emergency medicine.

Job Type: Full-time

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
  • Must have at least one year of experience in veterinary medicine
  • Exceptional patient care and client communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of ezyVet software is a plus
