We have a client seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, preferably within the SaaS industry, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Coordinate and assist with annual financial audits and tax filings.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, such as Sales, Operations, and Engineering, to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, as well as variance analysis to identify areas of improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to recommend and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with SaaS accounting principles, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and subscription-based business models, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as NetSuite, or SAP.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
