Senior Buyer

As a Senior Buyer (also known as Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Officer), you'll manage assigned items, generate and expedite purchase orders based on MRP to ensure timely delivery. You'll analyze and interpret information for planning systems, make day-to-day decisions that demonstrate a basic understanding of financial business drivers, and work closely with the Purchasing Manager to develop and implement department procedures, guidelines, and process improvements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, or Supply Chain Management, with five to seven years related experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office - Excel, Power Point, Word.
• Experience in ERP/MRP environment; familiarity with Epicor software is a plus.
• Ability to handle complex problems, make sound decisions and work independently under pressure.
• Good understanding of the manufacturing process, sound accounting principles, inventory control and document flow of import goods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inform at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in Commodity Purchasing, Sourcing and Procurement, and Supplier Negotiation.
