Director of Sales - Your Job Duties:

You will directly oversee, lead and manage the company's sales team, as a newly created layer of management between the VP of Sales and the growing customer sales team. You will:

  • Oversee, manage, motivate, train and maintain accountability of the sales team (current team of 5 sales and 5 sales support – and growing) including developing training
  • Serve as escalation point for large sales and when sales staff need additional support
  • Directly manage the recruitment and hiring for additional sales personnel as the company continues to expand
  • Develop plans and strategies for expanding and retaining business and achieving the company's sales goals
  • Monitor established sales metrics and KPIs, evaluating areas for improvement
  • Establish successful support with channel and partner programs
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions

You may also maintain several customer accounts, however your role is generally management and strategic focused.

Director of Sales - Required Skills, Experience & Fit with Our Team

  • You are excited and motivated to be a part of a company with a small business feel and aggressive growth goals
  • You bring sales management experience, having overseen and lead a sales team selling in a B2B environment
  • You are a mentor, motivator and bringer of solutions for your team
  • You are no stranger to travel when needed and are able to travel (est. 25% – 45% travel)
  • You are experienced with using and overseeing a sales CRM system (ideally Salesforce)
  • You have prior experience with Electronic Component or semi-conductor sales

Director of Sales - Desired, Not Required

  • You might have experience in Wi-Fi/BLE/Networking
  • You might have experience selling in the medical and industrial markets

This role is located in our Santa Ana (Orange County) office under a hybrid schedule (in office Tuesday – Thursday when you are not traveling). You will travel throughout the United States to visit customers and shadow the sales team, travel schedule planned in advance and at your direction.

Your compensation will be $160,000 to $180,000 base salary plus incentive compensation (Planned OTE $200,000 to $220,000).
