Senior Quality Technician

What You Will Do:

The Senior Quality Technician ensures that products or services meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • · Conduct inspections and tests of materials, components, and finished products to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • · Analyze quality data to identify trends, defects, root causes, and improvement areas.
  • · Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality audits and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • · Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • · Ensure that products and processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • · Provide training and support to staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • · Investigate and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and follow up to ensure effectiveness.
  • · Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers and vendors.
  • · Handle customer complaints and feedback on product quality and work to resolve issues satisfactorily.
  • · Demonstrates strong leadership qualities, is a role model for the QA team, and exceeds API Heat Transfer’s essential performance standards by adhering to its employee guidelines.
  • · Coordinates the work of the QA department to meet customer requirements.
  • · Inform the QA Manager of employee performance opportunities or other attention-related topics.
  • · Attend the daily shift meeting and all weekly meetings that require QA representation, such as, but not limited to, daily huddles, inventory, and material holds.
  • · Helps develop and ensure a pleasant and productive work environment.
  • · Ensures department tasks are done accurately, safely, and timely.
  • · Assists in onboarding new, temporary, or seasonal employees.
  • · Monitors lab supply levels and reports to the QA Manager.
  • What You Bring:
  • · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent quality department work experience
  • · 5+ years of experience in QA
  • · Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies and processes
  • · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
